About ACE Baseball
Will Ohman was born on a United States Army base in Frankfurt, Germany in 1977. He graduated from Ponderosa High School in Parker, Colorado in 1995 and was selected to its Hall of Fame in 2012 as a multi-sport varsity athlete and National Honor Society member. He attended Pepperdine University from 1995-1998 earning second-team All-WCC honors his Junior year. He was selected by the Chicago Cubs in the 8th round of the 1998 amateur draft and made his MLB debut on September 18, 2000. In his career, 1998-2013, he has played for the Chicago Cubs, Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Dodgers, Baltimore Orioles, Florida Marlins and Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Reds and Washington Nationals organizations, amassing over 500 games pitched in the Major Leagues. Will has also represented Germany in the World Baseball Classic Qualifier Tournaments in both 2012 and 2016.
Ohman developed The ACE Method as an approach to baseball during his professional career. His aim is to pass it on to a new generation of ballplayers, in the hopes they learn to implement it in life as well as in the game.
Since retiring from professional baseball in 2013, Will has coached in the Spring and Fall seasons for Red Mountain Little League and Arizona District 7, implementing the ACE Method with great success. He led the RMLL 8-10 All-Star team to the league's first District 7 Championship and Arizona Little League State Tournament appearance in over 5 years.
While he feels privileged to have realized his dream of playing the game he loves, his biggest accomplishments lie off the field in being a devoted husband and father.
